Linda Gains Her Freedom
Linda gains her freedom when Mrs. Bruce buys her from Mr. Dodge. Linda has mixed feelings at the end because of she now knows what truly being free is. However, she was also sad because even though she was completely free of slavery Linda had to face racism.
