Ch. 22-24

Mr. Sands has a slave trader make a deal with Dr. FLint to buy Linda's children. Then, Mr. Sands buys them from the slave trader. Linda trusts him because they had children together, and Mr. Sands went out of his way to make sure Linda's children didn't experience slavery. I wouldn't trust him because it has been a while since Linda's children have been out of Dr. Flint's control and he has yet to make them free. Also, a common trend in white southern men is that they aren't trustworthy, which is why I'm surprised that Linda trusts him. She knows that white men aren't usually trustworthy.
